What's glassmarbles?

glassmarbles is my content creation and graphic design project that I started in 2022. It began with a few Photoshop projects and since has evolved into a buzzing intersection of my love for design, culture, philosophy, art, animation, and film. My favorite element of glassmarbles is the series “Mouse and Keyboard” — a comic-style dialogue between a mouse and keyboard exploring themes of life, death, consciousness, memory, and everything in between. Check out glassmarbles here!

Frank Ocean is one of my favorite musical artists out there. His fanbase, in addition to being dedicated, arguably has some of the most creative fan work both musically and artistically. This song (Futura Free, from the album Blonde) is, in my book, one of Ocean's most beautiful songs lyrically. I thought best to express my admiration of this piece that using a newspaper design format as a tribute to the artist and to cement my status as a loyal fan.

Mouse & Keyboard: Ep. 9

This installment of M&K deals with the topic of memory, specifically the desire to rewatch and relive memories. I often find myself stuck in past memories and wonder how others' pasts have unfolded as well. I tried to capture my philosophy of what life would be like if we could peer into the memories and lives of one another — truly experience what they experience. It's a double edged sword though, since this ability would virtually break down every barrier and sense of privacy we have, or at least have for the time being.
